Son Rahaa is a residential estate on the outskirts of Algaida, Mallorca, conceived as a collection of houses set within an agricultural landscape; the commission focused on the project’s property branding. We crafted a storytelling around a promenade between the estate’s key points, translating this journey into an editorial brochure that reads as a pathway through the property. At the client's request, we integrated Feng Shui criteria, which the book employs as an orientation framework linking them to the placement of water across the ensemble.
We developed a typographic logotype in Didot. The contrast between thick and fine strokes, combined with two stacked uppercase words, gives the mark a measured presence suited to the scale of the finca. The visual identity rests on two core elements: the logo and a map treated as a singular feature. Within the brochure, this map serves as a navigational visual system, anticipating entrances, paths, and nodes while marking each chapter as a deliberate stop.
Because the site is expansive and dispersed, the first step was to draw that diagram to understand connections, distances, and access. From there, the text interleaves first-person transitions grounded in the real experience of walking from one house to another, tracking changes in light, sound, and vegetation that keep the reader oriented and sustain storytelling throughout the publication.
The main house, Saya, sits at the centre and organises the day around the patio, porch, and one of the pools.
Nearby, Shai works as a second home for family and friends, with an open courtyard and fountain, its own pool, and spaces designed for longer stays. Further down, close to the old mill, Sama sits among the trees, with its own pool and a flexible programme that can accommodate work, study, or a workshop. At the edges, Syra faces west and can operate as a service house, while Sela sits by the entrance, sheltered by cypresses and olive trees, and supports independent use.
At the heart of the ensemble, the Zen Pool acts as the shared point. Next to it, the restored mill retains its water tank and adds a floating platform for yoga and meditation. he brochure closes with plans, areas, and feature lists so that readers can consult the information smoothly and in the right order.
