At BergaGonzález, we produced the architectural visualization and architectural video for Sta. Maria, a villa built to the highest standards while embracing a traditional architectural approach. Located in the rural interior of Mallorca, just a short drive from Palma, the property sits within a landscape of fields and rolling hills that define this part of the island. Our client commissioned a video and a series of photorealistic renderings for the marketing and sales materials of the project.
Throughout the project, the images and CG renderings served as a collaborative design tool. They allowed us to explore and test architectural, interior design, and landscape decisions. Through architectural visualization, we were able to show how materials, light, textures, and vegetation interact with the site and reinforce the coherence of the design concept.
The final set of photorealistic renderings and the architectural video capture the beauty of the design, the richness of the materials, and the villa’s relationship with the Mallorcan landscape, framed by the Serra de Tramuntana in the background.
For this project, we collaborated with Moredesign, a local studio known for reinterpreting Mallorcan vernacular architecture through a contemporary lens. Their approach is rooted in traditional construction techniques, refined with precision to create spaces that feel warm, honest, and deeply connected to their surroundings.
In the exterior areas, this philosophy translates into a relaxed, countryside way of living, defined by a large pool, Mediterranean gardens, and metal pergolas that gradually become covered with vegetation. The architecture maintains a direct relationship with the landscape, aiming to blend into it rather than dominate it.
The project also includes outdoor spaces such as a kitchen and dining area built beneath pergolas made with a structure of olive tree trunks and covered with dried palm leaves, adding texture and authenticity. Natural stone paving and the traditional Mallorcan dry-stone walls known as “marjades” reinforce this vernacular aesthetic, which, combined with a clean and balanced design approach, takes on a contemporary expression.
For the interior spaces, we developed numerous interior renders and a series of material, lighting, and camera tests to represent the architects’ work accurately. The color palette is built around warm, earthy tones that create a calm and welcoming atmosphere.
Within this chromatic base, several custom-designed elements stand out, such as the built-in sofa and the sculptural concrete kitchen island. From there, the material palette comes into play: natural woods, brass details, soft linen fabrics, and mineral surfaces that add depth and texture.
This process of architectural visualization allowed us to study how each composition, camera angle, and material responded to light, ensuring that every image faithfully conveyed the character of the interior.
Moredesign’s approach to interior design is defined by an exceptional level of detail: rounded forms that soften the geometry, arches that articulate movement, textured walls, continuous flooring with stone inlays, alabaster lamps, and ceramic sconces integrated into the architecture. These interiors feel especially inviting, and each element contributes quietly to the atmosphere while maintaining a strong connection to the traditional Mallorcan architecture that inspires the project.
