Terrahill is a residential development of 24 homes in Alsancak, Northern Cyprus. The brief began with a clear need to organise communication and establish a framework that could sustain a distinctive narrative across all touchpoints. Guided by the concept “Where the Mountains dance with the sea”, the brand identity is anchored in a striking duality: the mountains as a steady presence and the sea as movement.
We used the idea of dance as an editorial structure and as the driving force that brings the island’s rich culture into focus. It serves as a profound metaphor for local life: dancing as an expression of belonging and gratitude for the shelter provided by the Kyrenia mountains; as a celebration of heritage, craftsmanship, and material honesty; and as the everyday rhythm of hospitality and deep connection to the land. This approach conveys serenity and balance from a highly distinct perspective.
The logotype is built around a three-stroke sign that represents concept and setting: sea, land, and a central meeting point. A humanist typeface featuring incised details introduces classical stability. By setting the name as a single, unified block “Terrahill”, we significantly reinforced visual cohesion. Fusing Terra and Hill into one word makes the name more compact, steadier on the cover, and more legible in digital headers and smaller applications.
Photography serves as the decisive medium to capture movement and the subtle passage of time. Art direction steps away from conventional real estate imagery to capture the ethereal trace of dance. A figure silhouetted against a warm sunset sky ceases to be a mere photographic record. It becomes a visual witness to the place’s pace, translating the concept into a recognisable experience within the landscape.
To drive the promotional strategy, we delivered a set of assets: a digital brochure for easy distribution; a property catalogue conceived as both a presentation piece and a design object; a website, a video, and a set of social media assets to support the property launch branding.
